Poznan Game Arena (PGA) is the biggest trade fair for video games held annually in Poland. The Poznan International Fair, where the event takes place, is even older than Gamescom's Koelmesse and was founded in 1921. This year PGA was held from October 16 to 18 and a new attendance record was broken with almost 70.000 visitors, 850 journalists and 130 exhibitors from all around the world. It was a great opportunity for gamers to see what's new in the industry, but also to cheer players participating in many e-sports tournaments or cosplay competitions.
A side event of PGA is the Game Industry Conference (GIC) that took place in hall 14. Jujubee was sponsor of this event during which one could listen to expert speakers, interact in various workshops or take part in many less formal discussions. Michal Stepien, CEO of Jujubee, delivered one of the lectures.
Among speakers one could find industry veterans from many countries - including Germany, France, Norway or Sweden and most of the lectures were conducted in English.
Our studio, as sponsor of the event, was strongly represented at the conference and at our booth we were promoting KURSK and Realpolitiks - the projects we are currently working on. Both games got a highly positive feedback from people visiting the fair and it was also great to establish many new and promising contacts.
Without a doubt PGA (including GIC) is one of the most important gaming events in Central Europe and Poznan is a beautiful city, worth your visit. We are looking forward to attending this superb event again next year - it was absolutely great to be there!
